5 Speaking Drills I'd Start With in Babli

Babli is an AI public speaking coach for iPhone, iPad and Mac. You pick a scenario, speak out loud to a simulated room that looks back at you, and get instant feedback on content, filler words, grammar and pace. These are the five drills I would run first, in order, to get calmer on camera and sharper on client calls.

01Drill 01

Speech of the Day: one minute, every morning, no retakes

Open Speech of the Day before you look at anything else. Babli gives you a fresh real-life scenario every day, often one you would never pick yourself. Answer it once, out loud, and do not restart when you stumble. The point is reps under a little pressure, not a perfect take. Read only one number afterwards: your filler words score. Write it down. 02Drill 02

The Filler Word Hunt: same level twice, half the ums

Pick level 1 of the Job Interviews course and answer it. Then open the transcript Babli gives you and tap through to the moments you said um, like or you know, and listen back to them. Now run the same level again with one rule: when you feel a filler coming, pause instead. Silence reads as confidence on camera. Compare the two filler scores. Most people see the gap on the second try because they finally heard themselves.

03Drill 03

Rehearse your real moment with Custom Speeches

This is the one that pays. Open Custom Speeches and describe a real conversation you have coming up, like a call with a brand you want as a client. Add the points you must land and the outcome you want, using the brief below. Babli plays the other side, asks follow-up questions and reacts to your answers. Run it until you can answer the hard question (price, turnaround, usage rights) without filler. Then walk into the real call having already done it three times.

04Drill 04

Talk to camera: the Media and Content Creation course

If you make content, run the Media and Content Creation course: vlogs, product reviews, interviews and on-camera updates, 10 levels that get harder as you go. After a level, record the same idea on your phone as a real reel take. You will notice the pace you trained carries straight over. My own reels go through the same loop: the one that sent you here was scripted, voiced and cut with my DOSSIER editing agent, and the delivery is the part no agent fixes for you.

05Drill 05

Follow one Personal Goal until it sticks

After a few speeches Babli starts spotting the habit you keep repeating across them, like ending without a conclusion or speeding up mid-answer, and turns it into one goal with a tip on how to fix it. Work on that goal and nothing else. A goal completes when you show the fix in the required number of speeches, then Babli picks the next one from your recent speeches. One habit at a time is how the change actually stays.
