The prompt system behind the beard carousel: one locked male face with real stubble, the same cool navy studio, a pores and beard-texture stack, and eight copy-paste shot directions that hold up in close-up, without plastic skin or a painted-on beard.
Write the identity once: age, skin tone, hair, beard, eyes. This pack locks a man in his mid 30s with light olive skin, a few small moles, short dark hair going grey at the temples, a patchy stubble beard with grey whiskers at the chin and dark brown eyes: an ordinary face, which is exactly why it reads as real. Paste the same block into every shot and only change the crop and the texture cue. The traps with men: models paint the beard as one dark even mass and iron the forehead flat. Ask for individual hairs, patchy density, grey whiskers, fine lines and a slightly asymmetrical face, and run frames 02-08 image-to-image off the hero so the face holds.
02
02Studio
Same navy studio, one soft cool key
Deep navy #112166 falling to near-black #0A0A0A, a single soft cool-white softbox from camera-left, and only a very faint cool edge light on the hair. Dark beards swallow detail in the shadows and skin shines in the wrong places, so keep the key soft and expose for the skin. A strong colored rim turns dark hair blue, so keep it faint. Warm light turns skin orange and waxy. Cool light keeps it honest. Name the backdrop and the key light in every prompt so the set stays consistent when you change the crop.
03
03Texture
Name the details AI paints over
Each frame sells one detail: pores on the nose bridge, stubble fading onto the neck, individual lashes, the iris catchlight, natural lip texture, individual beard hairs at the jaw. Write the detail in the prompt: visible pores, uneven skin tone, small moles, fine lines, individual stubble hairs, unretouched. Soft “beautiful skin” language is what makes AI look fake. Specific texture language is the product.
End every direction with a negative line. Minimum: Neg: beauty filter, plastic skin, airbrushed, CGI, cartoon, oversmoothed, text, watermark. Male portraits also forbid skin smoothing, glowing skin, painted beard, HDR. If you skip negatives, the model will polish the face into a mannequin. Half of realism is what you refuse.

Reference the hero, QC in close-up
Generate the hero, pick one keeper, then run the other seven frames as image-to-image off it. Keep aspect 4:5 (1080×1350). QC zoomed in: if the skin turns waxy, if the lashes disappear, if the moles on the cheek change between frames, if the beard turns into a flat dark shape, regenerate that frame only and do not rebuild the identity. Overlay titles only on the hero and the CTA frame, never on the macros. The full copy-paste deck is in the code block below.
# MASTER IDENTITY (paste into every shot) Man, mid 30s, light olive skin with honest tonal variation and a few small moles on the cheek, visible pores and fine lines at the eyes and forehead, natural soft sheen on the forehead and nose bridge (not glowing, not oily), short dark-brown hair with early grey strands at the temples, a real full stubble beard with individual hairs, patchy density and grey whiskers at the chin, dark brown eyes, natural thick brows. Same identity every frame. No plastic skin.
# STUDIO LOCK Deep navy studio backdrop (#112166 to near-black #0A0A0A), single soft cool-white softbox from camera-left, only a very faint cool edge light on the hair, no golden hour, no warm wash, no lavender tint. Shot on an 85mm lens, shallow depth of field, natural film grain, slight sensor noise in the shadows.
# 01 HERO - chest-up three-quarter portrait Candid editorial portrait, vertical 4:5, chest-up in a three-quarter turn. [MASTER IDENTITY]. Relaxed neutral expression, plain navy crewneck t-shirt, short hair with grey at the temples. [STUDIO LOCK]. Soft key reveals pores, small moles and natural sheen on the forehead. A real person, not a render. Neg: [GLOBAL NEG]
# 02 NOSE + CHEEK MACRO Extreme close-up of the nose and inner cheek in three-quarter profile. [MASTER IDENTITY]. Pores, small moles, the edge of the stubble and a soft natural sheen on the bridge of the nose fill the frame, soft navy bokeh behind. Neg: [GLOBAL NEG], wide face crop
# 03 NECK / BEARD LINE Tight crop from the beard line down to the collarbones and top of the shoulders. [MASTER IDENTITY]. Stubble fading onto the neck, fine neck lines, t-shirt collar at the edge, cool softbox skim light. Neg: [GLOBAL NEG], waxed skin, beauty retouch
# 04 EYE MACRO Single-eye macro fills the frame. [MASTER IDENTITY]. Dark brown iris with a crisp softbox catchlight, individual lashes, fine skin texture on the lid and cheek, crow's feet and natural brow hairs, very shallow depth, navy out of focus. Neg: [GLOBAL NEG], doll eyes, glowing iris
# 05 LIPS + STUBBLE Close-up from nose tip to chin, lips softly parted. [MASTER IDENTITY]. Natural lip texture and slight dryness, individual stubble hairs including grey ones on the chin and moustache, cool studio light. Neg: [GLOBAL NEG], plastic gloss, painted beard
# 06 ANGLED FACE FILL Tight face fill, head tilted about 45 degrees. [MASTER IDENTITY]. Pores, forehead lines and the small moles on the cheek, honest natural luminosity, crop cutting into the hairline and jaw. Neg: [GLOBAL NEG], beauty blur
# 07 BEARD + EAR Close-up of the ear, jawline and sideburn from the side. [MASTER IDENTITY]. Every individual beard hair visible, grey whiskers at the jaw, the natural hairline, a faint cool edge light catching the hairs, fine hairs on the neck below the ear. Neg: [GLOBAL NEG], jewelry, flat beard, blurred hairs
# 08 OVER-SHOULDER CTA FRAME Over-the-shoulder look-back portrait. [MASTER IDENTITY]. Shoulder and back of the neck in the foreground, face turned back toward camera in profile showing the beard, navy t-shirt, quiet dark lower third for a CTA box. [STUDIO LOCK]. Neg: [GLOBAL NEG]
# HOW TO RUN 1) Paste MASTER + STUDIO into your image model (nano-banana pro, GPT Image, Flux or Soul). 2) Generate 01 and keep the best one as the identity reference. 3) Run 02-08 image-to-image off that reference with the same identity block. QC zoomed in. Regenerate only the failed frame. 4) Export 1080x1350. Titles only on 01 and 08.
